Black screen with audio

I have seen several posts regarding this issue but, I still cannot fix my issue. I have attached logs hopefully, someone can help. Running Windows 10 (should have left well enough alone) and once I get this up and running I will use it as the backend for Kodi.

What dividers have you tried? I'm not in town and can't remote in to my system but many have had to try different codecs.
Windows 10 and NPVR work perfectly well so it's simply a matter of codecs.

As I recall ... ffdshow requires you to change settings and put NextPVR on the whitelist (and, maybe, other settings) ... click the ellipsis in Settings --> Decoders to get the decoder settings.

LAV should work without any settings needing to be set.

LAV video decoders does not play well with npvr (LAV audio does) and ffdshow is crappy. Send a PM to Hoborg and get unlocked SAF (use Cyberlink decoders, they are the best)

I will PM Hoborg (is that here or on another board?). I did find the spots to enable decoders in ffdshow and the system is breathing! I can tune some channels but, not most. Will try the Cyberlink decoders to see what that fixes.

That no longer sounds like a decoder issue. Logs show you have a Ceton InfiniTV, probably you were using Windows Media Center before upgrading to Windows 10? Perhaps you really "should have left well enough alone" because there is bad news: Unlike WMC, other PVR software cannot use channels flagged "copy once" even with a CableCard.

BTW Kodi has its own decoders, so you might want to leave well enough alone regarding NextPVR video decoders now that you have ffdshow working. I would be interested in knowing what decoder you have selected for AC3 audio, it sounds like Windows 10 upgrades make the Microsoft decoder usable for AC3.

AC3 is currently set to LAV. I was using WMC before "upgrade". Is the "copy once" issue something that can get worked out eventually or, is this something the providers have locked up?

As far as I know, WMC worked with copy once channels b/c microsoft was able to pay content providers for the licensing to be allowed to play these channels. Since everything else out there other than TiVO is opensource or small time, they can't get that kind of agreement made.

for me on verizon, premium channels are marked copy once, and now, sadly, fox owned channels like FX and NAT GEO are copy once. You can find other ways to get this content, hbo go, hulu, netflix, etc... but if you really want these channels via your tuner card, you'll have to stick with Win 8.1 and WMC

I just installed Next PVR today, set up the tuners, and got an error saying that the buffer directory didn't exist.
I changed the buffer location and kept getting the same error.
I restarted the computer which cleared that error and now, as reported by the OP, I get a black screen. I didn't mess with decoders or any settings other than selecting a different location for buffer and recorded TV. The black screen is on startup, there's no menu, no guide, etc. so it's not restricted to just live TV that's not displaying.
I tried uninstalling / reinstalling and it's unchanged but I see that my settings were retained so maybe there's a config file in a directory or registry entry that needs to be cleared?
