Channel import error

On the current release, after going through a re-tune of one of my WinTV Duet USB tuners to add a new OTA channel (which worked correctly), I used the export channel feature to create an XML file to import to the second tuner (which I have previously done successfully, although on earlier releases).

When attempting to perform the import, I get the error "This XML file is not a device channel list previously created with the 'Export Channels' features. No channels imported.". Whilst not a major issue (I simply manually re-tuned each tuner). I was wondering if anyone else had seen this issue or whether it is a particular issue on my configuration?

normally there's no need to do that; as soon as you click "Setup" on a device that has no channels defined, and the device is the same type as another that does already have channels, NextPVR will ask if you want to copy over all the channels.

I agree that is the normal route I would take when setting up a source from scratch, in this case I had to re-tune to add a single channel so all tuners were already configured and was nervous about deleting and re-adding.

I have used the export / import functionality several times in the past but since the last time have both upgraded to 3.5.7 and changed my EPG source from OTA to XMLTV (UK Radio Times) so not sure what exactly is causing the problem.

Again, not a major issue at all as it was a two minute workaround to re-tune each source to add the channel, was mainly posting to see if anyone else could reproduce as a potential bug or whether it was a quirk of my particular configuration.

I was ale to import your channels.xml file without incident, aside from it complaining that I didn't have the xmltv.xml file that the channels were all mapped to (so it set the EPG mappings to None).

If you want any further investigation why you can't import a valid file, post your npvr.log after attempting an import; perhaps that will provide a clue as to what is going wrong.
