I started creating groups and hit OK. No changes were saved when I went back in there. I didn't leave the main window. Is this a known issue? If so, is there a work around?

Please attach logs to a post telling us the time that you attempted to create groups and the attempt failed (so that we can find the time in the logs). Thanks.

yeah, it's a known issue, but was fixed before you joined the forum... did you download the 3.5.7 installer awhile back, or did you just download it recently?

what's the date and time of your empty.db3 file?

Here's the original thread on the topic, which culminated in sub fixing the installer which presumably was done since a user reported it fixed his problem the next day: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post492808

of course I'm just assuming you're encountering the same problem, since you didn't post logs. Why can't anyone read the sticky that says "READ BEFORE POSTING"?

How do I access the logs?

I downloaded it on Thursday.

Well, I found some log files, but it's unclear which log you want. MVP.log? Or one of the ncchost-X.log files?

They want all the logs, just zip the entire folder in one easy step. As Graham posted in #2 of this thread, read the sticky for location of logs folder.

really, your empty.db3 is dated today? that seems unlikely.

in any case, without logs I'm tired of trying to guess. you were already told to post logs and given a link showing where to find the logs and which ones to post (all of them), yet you still ask where they are and still ask which ones to post.

I checked the date again. That date is still there. Logs are attached.

your empty.db3 is dated 9/5/2015 which is correct for the current version of the 3.5.7 installer, so I'm guessing your problem is something different than the previously identified issue where an old version of empty.db3 was included with the installer by accident (the old file was missing a database column needed for channel groups). I see some errors in your logs, but I'm not sure what they're related to; I really can't tell where in those logs you attempted to create a channel group...

It certainly can't hurt to run nextpvr.exe -updatedb just in case. If you still get the error after that, immediately exit and post the npvr.log (that way the attempt to create a channel group will be the last thing in the log)
