Blank channels on live TV

I arranged for my CableCard to be paired with my tuner (InfiniTV PCIe 6). But all NextPVR shows for live TV is a blank screen with no sound. Ceton's diagnostic app reports no problems. Any ideas what's wrong? I don't want to have to wait for Comcast to send a tech out.

all snark aside, you probably just need install ffdshow from SAF's codecs or klite, then go into NextPVR -> codec settings, change to ffdshow,and enable MPEG2... this tripped me up early on

Well, I installed ffdshow. Need to wait for Comcast's office to open though before I can tell if that was enough.

I had the CableCard moved back to the PC. But the Comcast agent told me to expect a blank screen as described in my OP for up to half an hour.

Well, it's been just over half an hour. Still have a blank screen with no sound. Any ideas?

To help decide if it's a capture or playback issue, I'd suggest doing a recording, and checking if you ended up with a file on disk, and that it's a valid size (not zero bytes). Check if you can play that recording NextPVR. If you can't play it in NextPVR, try playing it in another player like VLC.
