Thanks madas, changing -ar to 11025 seems to have made a significant difference, only a very few hiccups and that's to be expected so I'm happy with it now.

Sub - I'm getting a lot of orphaned files in the recording directory. 24 orphans today after a hour or so of streaming, about 1/2 a gb total. I think I have the correct settings in config.xml. Any idea what's going on? Is this a ffmpeg problem or is Npvr not properly deleting the files afer the stream is terminated?

Code:
<RecordingDirectory>D:\recorded_TV\</RecordingDirectory>

<RecordingDirectoryTranslation>D:\buffer\</RecordingDirectoryTranslation>
<LiveTVBufferDirectory>D:\buffer\</LiveTVBufferDirectory>

<AllowRemoteAPI>true</AllowRemoteAPI>
<AllowRemoteTranscode>true</AllowRemoteTranscode>
<AllowRemoteStreaming>true</AllowRemoteStreaming>

It is probably related to ffmpeg.

i just run a scheduled task to do a del /q *live* in that directory every few days.

Going by the size I suspect it is a client thing. Most client don't just make one http request for play or seeking and stream, the could easily make several little requests ot top of streaming. I am not sure if sub handles these transcoded filenames in his clean up logic for locked files etc.

I noticed that I can only have one stream open now. I'm sure that previously I was able to open a couple of streams with different channels and it worked fine. Now if I open a second stream it stops the first one. I have enough available tuners for both channels. Any idea why this might have stopped working? or am I mistaken?

Stream1: http://IP:8866/transcode?channel=728&res...itrate=900

Stream2: http://IP:8866/transcode?channel=733&res...itrate=900

I have tried with and without the transcoding.

Add "&client=1" on one, and "&client=2" on the other.

Stream1: http://ip:8866/transcode?channel=728&res...0&client=1
Stream2: http://ip:8866/transcode?channel=733&res...0&client=2

I just double checked, and it's working here.

Restart your recording service (to clear out your logs) then reproduce the problem and post your logs and I'll take a look.

Could there be a collision on transcode.txt?
