I am having this issue with 3.4.8. The audio syncs fine then suddenly the audio quickens and is 3 seconds ahead of the video either on it's own or after FF. If I stop the video and resume or RW the audio will sync then afer a few minutes slowly creeps up to about 3 seconds again.

I am using these codecs:
MPEG2 and H.264: ffdshow Video Decoder
HEVC: LAV

Is there a sync is settings or is it all about finding the right decoders? The ffdshow Video Recorder allows me to view channels that I was having issues with seeing video. Should I focus now on audio codecs only?
The issue occurs on Live and recorded TV. Not on videos/movie playback.

It'll come down to decoders. Unfortunately there is no one-size-fits-all type solution for decoders, since the best decoders seem to vary a bit depending on your machine (it's audio device etc). Try some others and see if you can find a set that works well on your machine.

You could try the SAF codec pack.

I've been having a similar issue but for me the video will gradually move ahead of the audio stream. This occurs often on recorded playback and occasionally on live TV viewed with NextPVR. Programs such as VLC and WMP don't appear have this wandering sync on recorded files, including files that exhibit it in NextPVR playback. The NextPVR out of sync conditions do not appear to be 100% repeatable.

The computer I'm currently running NextPVR on utilizes the integrated graphics capabilities of an Intel 6th gen I5-4460 processor.

1a) Is it possible that different graphics engines, particularly those intrinsic to integrated graphics processors, have variable transport delays depending on other things going on inside the processor at different times?

1b) Is there anything in NextPVR to compensate for this variability, should it exist?

1c) Would utilizing a dedicated graphics card produce improved results?

2) Is there something different done in the NextPVR player software that might rely on the graphics processor maintaining a consistent clock rate? Processors features like Turbo Boost could conceivably affect throughput rates.

3) I know VLC has timestamp monitoring as part of its functionality. Is there something equivalent done in NextPVR to specifically maintain Audio and Video Synchronization (Timestamp monitoring etc.)?

For me, LAV has never worked well. I've had best luck with the AC3Filter for audio, and I use an old CyberLink decoder for video. If interested in trying these, PM me and I can provide some instructions...

It's worth keeping in mind that NextPVR isn't doing the decoding or renderering itself, and doesn't play any part in A/V sync. This is taken care of by the decoders and renderers you're using.
