Hello Mr. Sub.
I have a newly installed machine x64 Win 10 and a Hauppauge HD-PVR 2. Everything is working like a champ except when I watch live tv. No audio comes through while in the live tv mode. However, recording and playback are working fine. Can you look at the attached log and give me a clue? I have sniffed the forums here, but have not found the solution yet.
I appreciate your hard all of your hard work.

Hi Dean, I run four HD-PVR2's, so I thought I might be able to help. I don't see anything interesting in that particular log. You really should zip the entire logs folder, 'cause the other various log files might be more interesting. You know, right click on the "Logs" folder and pick "Send To" and then "Compressed Folder".

Maybe try setting your audio renderer back to the default. Other audio renderers can sometimes cause odd things like this.

Tried it. No Love. I did another set of logs, and I provided the entire logs directory as Mr. dixxfixx proposed. Interestingly, I can start a recording and watch it as it is recording and I get audio no problem.

Do you know what type of audio track you're ending up with in your recordings? Is it AAC or AC3?

I am surprised to see a bitrate of 12000000 on your HD-PVR2 in the NRecord.log when you are initiating. I have mine set to 9000000 and I thought that was excessive. I doubt it's an issue, but who knows, maybe it's hard to play that bitrate while it's recording but okay to play back once it's done? You could try dropping it to 9000000 and see if it makes a difference, since it's fairly easy to do.

Edit: Okay, I set mine up for 12000000 and the video was fine but the audio got choppy. Still there, mind you, but choppy. And of course I'm running 3.4.8 on an XP system, so there are differences there. It might indeed be worth a try.

I use higher bit rate, but I have my STB configured for 720p and no stuttering even over wifi to Kodi. 1080i is much more demanding and many devices have trouble with interlaced content. I do use 5.1 AC3 too which is even higher bit rate.

Martin, are you doing HD-PVR2? That may be the bottleneck.

I bumped down to 90 as suggested. No difference, other than the video quality. Still no audio.. Thank you for the advice though.
