I haven't had shows like this before, but have run into a bit of an issue. My wife records Miss Marple, and there were some episodes, such as s01e03, that were longer than the normal 1 hour time. In this example, it was 3 hours long. When originally shown, it would have been a single episode, but now it is shown in 3 parts, but all show as s01e03.

NPVR records all 3 episodes as expected. The shows are renamed to Miss Marple.xxxx.ts, then Miss Marple.xxxx.02.ts, and finally Miss Marple.xxxx.03.ts by imagegrablite. The database, though, points all 3 episodes to the original one, dropping the .02 & .03. I have to manually edit the database to add the .02 and .03 to the proper recordings. Any idea if this is an imagegrablite or NPVR problem? We have another of these recordings tomorrow, so I can post logs afterwards if that's what is needed.

Can you send me you database so I see, that 3hour episode is not in my guide.? I assume you mean renamed to -02 -03 etc if not something else might be going wrong. If you empty the database it can be compressed and uploaded if you don't have a good way to do that

Hey Martin,

First off, it is really changing it to .02 and not -02. But this week a re-recorded MASH episode has the duplicate show as #0, which is what I remember getting in the past. Let me monitor it to see if this happens again. Today's episodes did not change name to the episode, they stayed with the _date_time format, so I don't have anything accurate to show you. I had edited my database to link to the proper showings of the s01e03 show, so that probably wouldn't help you.

That's right I use # not - to keep igl renames looking different from sub's. I didn't want to see the old shows in the database, I wanted to see the scheduled one.

So if there is not a #, then it is NPVR doing the rename, and not IGL? That would make sense, as my wife deleted an episode the next day, and I noticed the name had changed to the .02 again. Probably not IGL with my issue then! I'm doing a new computer build in the next week, so I'll see if it's just a 2 year old Windows install messing with things. Thanks!

There might be my bug, but I'd have to see the iGL logs to tell. I don't think it is Windows but if there is a dot between Miss and Marple it might be NextPVR. I will watch for Miss Marple, I have only seen one hour episodes here via PBS.
