Having said that, they were both on from August thru October and everything was fine, but I thought I would try it. Gary

Piha4 Wrote:Hi again ... in reply to a suggestion two threads back. I did two recordings last evening and both recorded perfectly. However .......... it has made no difference with regards the tuner crashing out when Live TV is started. Could to upload your NextPVR logs playing a recording from Kodi and then switching to try live tv. I am still trying to see why the web server is restarting. Also can you access NEWA via a browser http://127.0.0.1:8866 Martin

Also can you access NEWA via a browser http://127.0.0.1:8866 OK ... I opened Kodi and played a recording from yesterday. I then shut down the recording and backed off to the home page to play Live TV. The interesting thing is, and it has happened before, and that is when I choose "Channels" for the first time, all I get is 3 radio channels. Then when I back out to the home screen and select Channels again, I get all of the channels I would expect to see. And .... When I choose to play TV1, the "Working" icon does it's thing, but does not open TV1. I select TV2 and it opens normally. I go back to open TV1 and "Volia" it opens it OK. This has happened a number of times over the last week or so. It is always TV1 that will not open immediately. However they all have the same problem with the disconnecting issue after they have run for around 5 seconds. Anyway, hope these logs are a help Thank you Gary

Yes but your recordings where manual so I was wondering what you use as a source in NextPVR. Your NRecord logs don't show the EPG update overnight. I know one user messed the web server up by trying to restart nrecord nightly.

I know one user messed the web server up by trying to restart nrecord nightly. Sorry Martin ...... you have got me here. All I can tell you is that sometimes over the last few months, I have had the odd issue where I have opened NPVR and gone straight to the EPG to check out what is on. Sometimes I have found that the entire screen has "No Content" or words to that effect all over the screen, instead of the programs you would expect to see. To get the TV EPG showing, I have on occaisons gone to the settings menu and ran the EPG update. That normally would put the program list back in place, but having said that, sometimes it would take a couple of attempts to get it to regenerate correctly?

I am speculating there could be problem with how NextPVR feeds an empty EPG to Kodi.

They don't transmit the standard DVB EPG on the DVB-T system in New Zealand, so you only typically get the a few shows pulled in, so if you've got it configured for the DVB EPG, I'd expect you to find your guid empty most of the time. Typically users of the DVB-T system in NZ would use XMLTV (from somewhere like EPGCollector).
That said, the next release adds support for full guide on DVB-T in New Zealand. |
