I would like to use the New Metadata Screens for recordings - probably for Video as well but there are a couple of problems.

On Series Folders the name of the Episode is repeated - see below

Ive tried to find where it is coming from but have failed to find the duplicate. This doesn't happen in the single recording folders.

Also when going back up a level from this screen it always goes back to the first item in recordings - which then means a lengthy scroll or guess the number (1-9) to find where you were in the list (Over 140 directories in recordings at the moment)

In the original Recordings screen Fanart is only shown now if there is a catalog.xml file in the Media/Shows folder, Using the New Metadata Screens automagically creates them so not a big problem.

Also is it possible to make the translucent black rectangle more translucent - which is the object I need to change the alpha on to make the fanart a bit more visible.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

I just tried to reproduce this, but wasn't getting the same repeated episode thing. Can you zip and supply your npvr.db3?

Database Attached - I have dropped the Playback Table (on the grounds that it could incriminate me Big Grin ) It still appears to work in NPVR without it.

Ah, I see what's happening. Can you see if this patch fixes it for you?

I agree that I like these screens. However, they are missing one critical component: the colored dots to indicate which of the episodes each of us has watched. Currently, they don't appear to be displayed on either the listing at the top (definitely preferred location) not the details section at the bottom.

Can I fix this by changing the skin file or does sub need to make a change?

Yep Thank You that fixed it for me - now getting the air date instead of the second copy of the title.

Next Question Big Grin How do we deal with [:] and [...] ? Putting three periods before jpg works for the posters (not 3+1 as you would think) but between the file name and .fanart nothing seems to work

The Title I ham having problems with at the moment is:

Britains Ultimate Pilots: Inside the...

...RAF (in the description)

Looks as though the colon is replaced with an underscore : = _

Also as requested in the first post could escaping from the individual recording folder back to Ready Recordings Take you to the recording you were just in (Highlighted) ala Windows Explorer and the default recordings menu. At the present it goes back to the first one on the list every time - getting fed up with seeing J C van Damme's face (6 Bullets) Big Grin

UPDATE: Upon further testing, I do see the dots in the details section. So, I'm thinking that it's likely a skin change would work. But I can't seem to find a skin file which matches what is being displayed? Does anyone know where to find it?

There is also a problem when there is only 1 episode in a folder: the details section isn't diplayed:

The rules vary a little bit depending on where you talking about. For artwork, its using "Britains Ultimate Pilots Inside the" as the bases for the name.

I'll take a look.
