Bugger.

Mario

OK ......... so I have reinstalled NextPVR 3.6.6. I have reinstalled a copy of Kodi 15.2 Isengard and run them. I also turned off Windows Firewall and my Antivirus/ Firewalls. In fact, I have even installed a brand new PSU for the PC as mine was making a noise and the fan was stopping. A long shot, but thought it may make a difference.

No difference still lost the connection in a matter of seconds. So, I ran debugging and have uploaded a new set of logs from both programs.

Many Thanks
Gary

Do you have eworld.ui.dll in the web\bin directory? If so, can you now view http://127.0.0.1:8866?

Yes it is there in the web/bin directory and it was last modified on the 4th January 07. The URL you attached still brings up the "eworld" error page like earlier.

Funny thing happened this morning. When I first loaded NextPVR, I ran it to check if there was TV. I noticed during the install, it seems to Skip the "Nrecord" stage in that the list of commands that appear briefly did not appear in the dialogue box. I deleted the installation again and reinstalled. This time the Nrecord commands appeared during the install. I ran NPVR and the TV was OK. At this stage the Win firewall was OFF.
THEN ... a little while longer, I started my PC and during the splashpage opening, a dialogue box flashed on saying NRecord not working. I turned on the Firewall, and rebooted the machine. Guess what ........... NextPVR was as good as gold again!!!!!

I don't know what is happening here. I have just turned on my NEXTPVR to watch a program and I am now getting a message "Unable to communicate with server" or words to that effect and I can no longer watch TV. This is what happened this morning when I installed the fresh copies for you in the earlier post and sent you the logs. Now it appears, not only is the Kodi interface a problem, but not NPVR has given up the Ghost. The log files for this are attached. I am beginning to wonder if I am wasting everyones time. You guys have been so helpful (and I really have appreciated it), but we are going nowhere?
Regards
Gary

Sorry that message was "Unable to communicate with the recording service"?

Guys .............. Do you reckon my problem may be my Tuner? Is there anyway to test that. It seems OK when using NPVR, and it WAS ok with Kodi, but I wonder?

Bump to Graham / Sub
F.Y.I ............ I cannot get this thing sorted but I am 100% convinced is a Windows Update issue. I am fairly certain as I think I mentioned in an earlier thread, that just prior to the issue arising (after 3 months of use), I seem to remember a windows update being carried out. I have just had another issue today which has taken me hours to sort out and requiring assistance from the "Brother" help desk to fix my Printer / Scanner software. When I asked what had caused the problem ( I have been using the printer for about 3 years), they said it was a Windows Update which had caused my issue. A windows update was done on my PC yesterday.

So the upshot is unless I reformat my HDD and reload, with Updates turned off, I will not be able to intermix Kodi and NextPVR like I used to. VERY frustrating when you know a little about computers by lack the advanced knowledge to fix an issue.
Thanks for your time and effort

In the last couple of npvr.log files, you attempted to start live tv, but it failed because the recording service wasn't running. The nrecord.log (recording service logs) show it was running earlier, but no obvious sign of an error that caused it to stop working.

Maybe try stopping the recording service (in case you've rebooted and its running again), then run "nrecord.exe RUN" from the command line to see if it starts correctly. Then try watching live tv a couple of times, and let us know if the recording service crashes, and if so, what error message is shown on the screen.

[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]I went to start next PVR after reading your post, and it would not open ... unable to communicate
I think I know what you want. I found where to turn the Recording Service On and off, and notice it was set to Automatic. If I start it from that dialogue box, when I open NPVR it runs the TV fine. If I stop it by selecting "Stop" hit the strart button and enter cmd.exe and then try typing nrecord.exe RUN from the command line, I get an error message in the dialogue box say it is not recognized and an external or internal command?
I have been dicking around with it a bit but I have attached the log again?

You'd need to change to the NextPVR directory. ie:

Code:
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR"
nrecord.exe RUN
