I'm running a SAT>IP server and am able to receive SD channels but HD channels return a blank screen and the log infers a signal problem. If I run an application on my Android phone I am able to receive HD channels without issue. I can also watch them with other applications but I prefer to use NextPVR if possible.

Please see attached log showing an SD channel tuned followed by BBC HD in the UK.

Any help greatly appreciated Smile

So, these channels show up during a scan right? If so, that implies it is able to tune those frequencies.

If you try recording one of these channels (instead of watching it live), do you end up with a valid file on disk?

Yes all the HD channels are found during a scan

When recording an HD channel the file produced is empty:

You might need to show a successful scan, so I can compare the tuning of the two scenarios, so I can see what's different for this same channel.

Please find attached log of scan and in case it is of interest I have logged a system using a traditional Sat card for the BBC HD channel.

This is the normal receiver that works:

It's not worth comparing the scan from a normal DVB-S device to the scan of a SATIP device, because the tuning and logging is quite different.

It is worth while comparing a scan of a SATIP device that is finding channles during a scan, to and attempt to later record from that channel, since the tuning should be the same for both occassions. Particularly the "SAT>IP uri:" part of the logging, since this is where NextPVR is telling the SATIP tuner to tune to.

I have installed NextPVR on two different PC's and both fail to display HD channels directly after the Scan finds them!

Was the earlier attached scan log of any use?

The scanning and recording example seem to be tuning the same way from what I can tell.

Scanning:
Quote:2015-12-26 17:28:57.745 [DEBUG][1] SAT>IP uri: src=1&freq=10847&sr=23000&pol=v&msys=dvbs2&mtype=8psk&rolloff=0.35&pilot=on&fec=23&pids=0,16,17,18

Recording:
Quote:2015-12-26 13:05:48.150 [DEBUG][6] SAT>IP uri: src=1&freq=10847&sr=23000&pol=v&msys=dvbs2&mtype=8psk&rolloff=0.35&pilot=on&fec=23&pids=0,18

If you restart the recording service, and start live tv directly on this channel, does it make any difference?

Does your SAT>IP device have a web page that tells you what each tuner is tuned to? They usually do. It might be worth checking that at scanning time vs recording time to see if you can see some difference.

It would appear that NextPVR is not passing tuning information for HD channels. See attached for an SD channel and HD channel

Sub: In your quotes, the "pids=" part at the end your Scanning and Recording examples are different. (Scanning: "&pids=0,16,17,18", Recording: "&pids=0,18"
