Live TV Black Screen (only audio works) on MPEG4 Channels

I'm unable to watch the video portion of live tv (using NPVR App UI) on any of the channels that use MPEG4. I can hear the audio (AC3) and I can record the channel and play it back perfectly, but I only see a black screen while watching live TV.

Note that I'm able to watch the live stream in VLC without a problem.

Unlocked SAF Decoder (this happens with Cyberlink as well as LAV)
Video Renderer: EVR (this also happens with the other options)

Tuner Hardware:
HDHomeRun Prime (I've tried BDA Compatibility Mode of "Default" as well as "Media Portal")

Provider:
Comcast Chicago Digital Cable

CNN HD (NOT Working)

I don't necessarily know what I'm doing, but I don't see it loading a H264 decoder when it loads all the other ones. Is there one selected in the decoder setup screen? I thought SAF set all that up for you. Anyone smart look at this?

I don't think we've come across a Prime user with an H.264 channel yet, and the app might need a small patch to cope with this.

Could you zip and attach you npvr.db3 for me to take a look at?

Sure. The zipped file was too big to attach so I deleted some of the rows from the EPG_EVENT table. Let me know if that's a problem. Attached. Thanks!

Can you see if this temporary patch makes any difference? If not, post the npvr.log showning an attemp to watch CNN HD.

Ignoring Live TV for now, if you do a recording of CNN HD, can you playback that recording and see video?

I recorded and played back without a problem on CNN HD (using your patched exe). However, just to clarify, that has always worked. It's only Live TV that has the issue.

I can see why that patch didn't help.

In 3.7.x I'll be able to make a change to auto detect this. The attached patch will at least give you a work around. With this patch, go to the Settings->Devices screen, double click on each device, right click on any H.264 channels and select the new 'Edit Channel' context menu, where you can then set the channel type to H.264.

I'm not seeing a context menu in your new patch as you describe. However, I was able to add a new IPTV channel for CNN HD and set the channel type to H.264, and then I was able to watch it live! If you can help me get the context menu working, I'd appreciate it - otherwise, this IPTV option should work for me until 3.7.x. Thanks!
