Panasonic Viera TX-32LX700M. I think it must be getting older now, the local Panasonic website doesn't keep any manuals for download.
Still works fine though, although, like me, it's hard to start when it's cold. I am hoping the Dog will put a fang through it soon.
I'd need to check the Video settings I set it to in Kodi.

Genius! Can't wait to try that.
It might explain the better look at "desktop" setting.
Keep forgetting it's a PC ...

I don't think it will ever be as good as the others because of the way the rpi receives the image and puts it to screen
Have to see if the change sub said he will make fixes the home screen image
But another cool thing kodi can do is match the video and refresh rate for each video so it changes automatically for best viewing

19:01:33   7.939624 T:1968332800  NOTICE: Found (1280x720@50.000000) at 25, setting to RES_DESKTOP at 16

As above, manual says, for HDMI input:

Code:
525 (480) / 60i 15.73 59.94
525 (480) /60p 31.47 59.94
750 (720) /60p 45.00 59.94
1,125 (1,080) /60i 33.75 59.94
1,125 (1,080)/60p 67.43 59.94
1,125 (1,080)/60p 67.50 60.00

I tried (System Settings/X-Newa Settings resp.)
  1. Desktop / 1366x768 - no difference to 1024x720p
  2. 1920x1080p/1920x1080p menus a wee bit slow
  3. 1280x720p/1280x720p seems faster than 2 and no worse resolution than either. Stick with this.

There is no selection for 1366x768 in System Settings so I chose Desktop.

Maybe I have overclocked mine I run 1080 on mine and don't find it sluggish
I think cec is sluggish though compared to having a keyboard or mce remote dongle plugged in
Also turn off rss feeds stuff if you haven't

Owell it was worth a try but sounds like you already had the best settings
