Just to make sure that readers know how to do this:
- Go to the "Videos" on the main kodi menu
- Then go down to "Files"
- Then select "Add videos..."
- And click on the "Browse" button
- On the PC, the local drives should each be listed. On the RPi, you would select "Windows network (SMB)", then your workgroup, server, and share
- Once you get to the top level folder for recordings (or the share for the recordings) (NOTE: you will still see folders that you could go down into, but you don't want to go down into them at this point because you are pointing to the top level of the directory structure for recordings), click the "OK" button on the right side
- Then in the "Add Video source" dialog, go to the bottom and click the "OK" button
- For testing, you can just leave the content type set to "(None)" so that kodi won't try to scrap info for all the files in the folder/share
- Now from the Videos | Files list, you can select the folder/share and go down to select a specific .ts file to play
