Is there any way to fast forward or rewind a stream through ndroid??

I've been using VLC as the media player but I'd be happy to move to something else if it offer comtrol.

Many thanks in advance.

It depends on what you mean specifically by FF/RW. Are you looking for "shuttle" control? If so then you may be out of luck. I generally use MX Player and I can usually 'skip' chunks by touching the progress bar but I can't get a proper FF or RW (2x, 4x... full motion playback).

Cheers,
Brian

The preferred functionality is the same as NextPVR, ie. either skip ahead/back by 1 minute or 10 secs. Any way of doing this?

Playback is dependent entirely on which 3rd party player app you use - nDroid simply passes a URL to the player app - more accurately, nDroid passes a URL to the Android OS and 'asks it' to find an app capable of playing a video stream. At this point all control is with the player app - if you can find a player app which allows 'chunk' skipping configurable to 10s / 1min etc then it could work.

Ok, I've found Moboplayer and it has a feature whereby I can configure a skip length as I wish. However I can't seem to get it to accept the stream. I click on 'Watch' and then select Moboplayer to 'open with' and then Moboplayer opens and nothing else happens/blank screen.

Any ideas?

Also, one other question. I'm finding that the Recordings page in nDroid does not update until a day or so after a recording has been made on NextPvr. Is there a way to speed up these updates? Sometimes I'd like to be able to stream a recording as soon as it's done recording, or even while it's recording, but it doesn't show up in the list.

Many thanks.

Do you get different results when Moboplayer tries to play different video formats ... SD vs. HD or MPEG2 vs. H264?

ZIP and post the nDroid Service logs after you've tried streaming a recording and let me know date, time, recording name and I'll try to see what's happening.

Hmmm, I'd need to check, I thought I'd fixed an issue with Recordings not updating a long time ago.

I've read through the thread for this and it looks good. I downloaded the install files from github but not sure what to do with them?? I'm not familiar with Plex but I've had a bit of a play with it and it's definitely showing potential for what I want.
