Suspend Recording of a Recurring Recording

So, I'm going on vacation next week (yea! me) and, as usual, I don't want to record the local and national news while I'm gone. I've tried deleting the individual scheduled recordings for the week, but they come back the next day (I assume when the EPG is updated). So I end up deleting the recurring recording for those (and anything else I don't want to record while I'm gone) and then have to add them back in when I get home. It would be really nice to have a way to suspend a recurring recording. It would be awesome if I could set an end date for the suspension, but I'd be fine with manually reenabling the recurring recording.

A possible solution would be to set the number of episodes to keep to just one and let it record anyway; that way the episodes won't fill up your drive while you're gone.

If I was using NPVR as my front end, that might work. But I scan episodes into Kodi after they are done, so even if NPVR deletes them, they'll still stack up in the Kodi library. So this may be something mostly just an issue for me. If I could change the channel of a recording, I would just change to a channel that doesn't have the show and get the result I want. But I can't do that. Anything I could change to make a non-recording I can't seem to change once the recurring recording is created.

It's a few steps, but can you Export your Recurring recordings in the NPVR settings app, cancel the ones you don't want to record while you are away, then import them back when you get home...

That'll do. It's fewer steps than I do now (delete the recording, add it back when I get home, get it back in the right priority). Just one question. Do I have to reimport all the recurring recordings, or can I just import the ones I deleted? Because if I can have an XML file of a subset of the recurring recordings, I can just keep a file of the ones I delete when we go on vacation. That'll make it even easier.
