Need help w/npvr and kodi viewing ota channels

Hi, I'm new to HTPC and need some help. My setup is a dedicated desktop pc running windows 10. Hauppauge wintv dual USB tuner, NPVR playing through kodi. When i view the ota channels through the wintv program without kodi, theres no problem viewing, but when viewed through kodi theres severe pixilation and stuttering on all the channels. I've tried changing the decoders without any improvements. What am I doing wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do they play fine in NextPVR itself?

No, when viewing in npvr alone it's the exact same, with the pixilation and choppiness.

Can you do a short recording, then supply the NextPVR logs, and the sample recording?

Was it the same channel you tried in WinTV and NextPVR? The symptoms you describe just sound like poor reception.

It was the same channel I viewed in wintv, not sure if its poor reception because all the channels play fine without any problems when played in wintv alone.

When did you record that PGA clip? I can't see it happening in your logs.

(I also wrote the Hauppauge WinTV application, so I know for sure it's not doing anything significantly different to NextPVR)

In those logs, it looks like you have very marginal signal:

2016-05-28 18:05:26.065 [DEBUG][29] locked=0, present=0, strength=40, quality=0 (took 16ms to check)

The file has 584 discontinuity errors, so lots of missing bits of data.

So, at this stage I can only assume signal strength problems. If you're adament that WinTV can watch the exact same channel without any problems - if you're happy to install teamviewer, I can remote in and take a closer look for you.
