sub:

I have noticed yet another odd periodic stuttering. This one is not as severe as the one I reported earlier (which as gone away) and not as frequent. However I have identified a 98-100% CPU utilization this time in GBPVR and tracked it to the gbpvr.exe.log. This is an extract from the time frame when this occurs:
------
8/18/2005 11:18:11 PM.155 VERBOSE [2] RenewLease: 3
8/18/2005 11:18:42 PM.155 VERBOSE [2] RenewLease: 3
8/18/2005 11:19:08 PM.124 VERBOSE [766] RecordingFactory.loadSchedule()
8/18/2005 11:19:08 PM.124 VERBOSE [766] Purging any stale logically deleted recordings
8/18/2005 11:19:08 PM.140 VERBOSE [766] getDatabaseConnection() creating new connection
8/18/2005 11:19:13 PM.155 VERBOSE [2] RenewLease: 3
8/18/2005 11:19:44 PM.155 VERBOSE [2] RenewLease: 3
----------------

Any ideas?

hi sub, i noticed, when playing dvd's i cannot see any osd. i press the blue button and nothing happens.

i use the cyberlink decoder in overlay-mode. do you need any logfiles?
by the way: which information is displayed in the dvd-osd?

ah, by the way: is there any chance of a function to switch audio and subtitles while the movie plays? oh, but thats a wishlist item...

the new release is much more responsive, faster and better! thanks!

After installed when I clicked the icon to see the recordings and set times it does not open. When I look at properties there is no target set. I removed totally and reinstalled with same results.

Using showanalyser with latest GB-PVR and BlueMCE2 skin..at beginning of my recordings, the first auto-com skip(I have it checked in config) does not happen right away..even if I hit the play button to manually skip..after about 15 seconds into the first commercial, it skips..then it auto-comskips for the rest of the recording. I use the timeline as a guide when it should be skipping....also it appears to cut a little too much into the show..sometimes..wondering if auto-comskip can be fine-tuned within GB-PVR or Showanalyser...

This is typically a sign that you're trying to use VMR with a Cyberlink decoder that is not compatible with VMR. For most modern Cyberlink decoders there are two setting for enabling VMR (EnableVMR and EnableVMR9). Google should turn up the exact settings.

Have you tried the green/yellow buttons?

I have no idea what you're trying to tell me.

I think i know what he means. He reinstalled or something and the GBPVR Shortcut Icon on his desktop or something or maybe in his start-menu has a dead link. But it took me a while to try to figure that out too!

Once again I tried to do a fresh install.
It seems to work, but gives an error as soon as I click on TV Guide (yes, I have updated the EPG for all 5 tuners).
It then gives multiple repeating errors when trying to uninstall as well.
I finally did a manual deletion of everything in the registry, and did a fresh install of dotnet, then the dotnetSP1, then 90211, then my plugins (only using weather and findfast) so I have everything working again.

I can reproduce all the errors if you would like, or logs after an install.
You can never have enough tuners!

Weekly timeslot recording does not seem to be working for me, in many different ways. If I schedule a recording through the web interface (without the weekly/daily option, of course, since it's not available in the web interface), it always works fine and shows up fine in the recording manager for the correct time, no matter what options I select.

But if I use the GBPVR.exe TV-Guide to schedule a recording, weird things happen if I try to schedule a weekly or daily reoccuring recording. For example, if I try to use the TV-Guide in GBPVR.exe to schedule it to record Battlestar Galactica from 1am-2am on Friday night/Saturday morning, it shows up correctly in the GBPVR Recordings manager under the reoccurring recordings section (ie. for the correct starting day and time slot), but in the web interface shows it as recording from 11pm - 3am. I get the same behavior for daily reoccuring recordings...the web interface shows a four-hour window for the scheduled recording, which seems to overlap with the intended recording time, but I'm not sure if always.

In addition to this discrepancy, it doesn't actually seem to be recording these weekly scheduled recordings at all.

The concept of allowing weekly scheduled recordings is great (and arguable a must-have)...does it work for anyone else, or exhibit this same behavior? Maybe something is just corrupt in my installation, or with the XML data I've received?
