Now that Kodi Krypton is into beta it is time to look into Estuary changes. Also supports sub's 3.7.7. m3u8 transcoded streaming which might work on more device platforms

- Web Client: more dynamic web client screen update using new activiy monitor to check rendering status api
(thanks sub) requires 3.8.3 160926+
- X-NEWA added significance field 3.8.3 160929+
- X-NEWA previous search results are saved
- Estuary skin PKSCOUT version - enable in Setting
- support's sub's m3u8 streaming functions configure resolution and bit rate in Setting
- got PVR streaming option working again
- more info on player OSD
- some bug fixes
- timeshift mode now records and delete
- hdhr mode - play live tv directly from hdhr
- support's sub's m3u8 streaming functions for recordings
- improved sid handling
- optimize dashboard and epg

Does this version require Kodi Krypton?

No. The advantage to Krypton is playing and skipping in-progress recordings. I might add a custom live tv method I was using during the Olympics, it automatically recorded shows and deleted them on exit so I could timeshift.

If you don't like Estuary a user Confluence skin is available.

Are there any changes that affect the web client or are these changes all for the native client?

The playback modes should work in web client. You can use m3u8 on devices that don't support mpeg2video or are low bandwidth and timeshift if you want to seek live tv need 8000 ms for pre-buffer. I used this a lot in the Olympics. Also with newer silicon dust tuners you can stream live tv directly taking the burden off NextPVR.

Hi Martin

If I have previously installed X-NEW from the link to this repository will the Alphas update from there too? Kodi 17.

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. The only way to use the Alpha is to download the zip file.
