How to disable 'Record Season (All episodes on this channel)'?

Hi,

I set NPVR to record (I thought) the main daily news show at 20.00hrs every day. My thought was that if I missed it live I could always look at it from my own machine. That actually works, but...

...It appears that NPVR looks at the name of the show (NOS Journaal) in the EPG and does not honor the time originally set. As there are multiple shows (that are constantly replayed throughout the day) with the the exact same name NPVR entered into a recording frenzy that fills my HD and keeps my computer awake throughout the day and night. It will never enter sleep mode any more. See attached jpeg.

I cannot find any way to disable this recording schedule, despite have searched for it in the Wiki and forums. I also cannot find a file on my computer that looks as if it holds the schedule. The only way to stop NPVR recording is to uninstall it. But when I reinstall NPVR starts recording the news shows again as if nothing happened.

Please, how do I stop the program constantly recording the news shows? Thanks.

In the Recordings screen ... Press right arrow to change the list between Ready or Pending or Whats New and so on ... You will see your recording in the Recurring list.

Select the show with the remore (or double click with the mouse) ... You may be able to change the Recording Type ... or you can delete the recurring recording and make a new recording.

NextPVR allows you to choose a Recording Type that is equivalent to "All shows with this name at any time" or "All shows with this name at this time each day" or "All shows with this name at this time on this day each week".

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. I knew it had to be something easy but couldn't find it. Deleted all!

I take it that NPVR keeps the computer awake when it waits for any kind of scheduled recording? Not a problem but I'll have to move it to a spare computer I have. Thanks again.

The type can't be changed through the UI.

NextPVR tells Windows to wake the computer to do scheduled recordings. You can let the computer go to sleep and it should wake for each recording.
