Ignoring live tv for now, if you do a short recording, can you play it in NextPVR? If not, can you supply a short recording, so that I can check it here?

OK. Here's a link to a 25 second clip recorded from BBC America, one of the channels just switched to MPEG-4:

Thanks sub!

Do you trust that beta firmware?

Not any more. Wink I can watch the channels, with audio, through their viewer app, but I don't know how to tell if it's sending the right data to NPVR. Sad According to other threads here, the latest stable firmware doesn't support MPEG-4. They only have beta versions for that.

I am not sure what sub can do about the bad pcr pid packets. If these recordings are critical you can remux them.

Can you try creating a c:\temp directory, and setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR\DumpNetPush=1 (DWORD), then try watching that channle for 20 seconds, then supply the c:\temp\dump.ts that gets produced?

Remember to remove that registry setting afterwards.

Uploaded dump.ts to: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26935807/dump.ts

Here's hoping it's helpful! Smile

Off to remove the registry setting now.

Thanks!

Sorry to be a pain, but you could you possibly try posting a dump.ts and recording from the same attempt? ie, set the registry again, then schedule a 1 minute recording (no padding), let it complete, then supply both the dump.ts and the recording it made?

The recording you supplied had a broken PMT, and I'm trying to determine if it arrived that way from the device, or whether NextPVR broken it during the recording process.

No problem. I hadn't deleted the recording from the server yet. Smile Here's the actual recording that goes with the dump.ts from above:

Can you try setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR\ NetPushRewritePMT=0 (DWORD), and see if it makes any difference?
