You can just type four digits. ie, 2305 will set 11:05pm (23:05 military time)

I set the registry key for NetPushRewritePMT=0 It didn't seem to make a difference.

I can type in some of the fields of Man-Rec, but not the start and stop time fields.

You can - but only four digits. The numbers wont change until you've typed the fourth digit.

Yes. It would still play the video in MPC-HC, but no audio.

I tried the man-rec for 1 minute, but that recording failed with an error that the recording service failed. The wife isn't going to be happy that I broke her recording of Project Runway that was recording at the same time.

It's after midnight here and she has shows recording until 1:30 AM, so I guess I'm done for tonight. I'll do some more testing in the morning and update this thread then. Thanks for all your help!

OK. Starting clean after overnight reboot. This first set is with DumpNetPush=0. Recording service crashed at beginning of recording, but a tiny bit of dump.ts was created first and a crash.mdmp was created.

I'm also including the log files, just in case they'll be helpful. Recording started at 06:47, barely started, then recording service crashed.

When the recording service crashed, it left Tuner 0 of the HD HomeRun Prime still tuned to channel 730.

New data point. I shut down the NPVR server, then powered it back on. I also power cycled the HDHR Prime. I went to TV Guide, selected channel 730 again and clicked "Watch". The screen just went black, with no audio.

Next I went to c:\temp. No indication of a recording service crash as a new crash.mdmp was not created. However, I clicked on the new dump.ts file that was actually growing, and it plays fine in MPC-HC WITH AUDIO. ??? However, if I go to the Live TV folder and try to play the file from there in MPC-HC, I only get video. No audio.

Does that help at all? Something that you're doing with the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR\DumpNetPush=1 (DWORD) setting is creating a file that seems to play properly.

Sorry the files are so huge, I didn't get it stopped right away. I can try again with smaller files, if needed.

Here's another interesting data point. The dump.ts file that works in MPC also plays fine in NextPVR if I select it from the "Videos" menu in NextPVR. :eek:
