Channel tuning issue with NextPVR 3.7.7/Kodi 16.1 and 17b1

This is still an ongoing problem for me. Lately it has been happening more frequently, also. Any insight would be appreciated.

I have started to observe this happening as well. It seems to happen to me on sub channels (27.2 for example), but only when it's the first attempt at tuning when entering Kodi. If I went into kodi and tuned 27.1 first, 27.2 will tune without problem. I can try and get a good recreate with some logging information if that can help. Using the latest NextPVR build, Kodi 16.1 and latest Beta on Android.

Whenever you try to watch a channel in Kodi, it'll create a source .ts file in the live tv buffer directory. You might need to capture one of these files when it's not playing a channel, so I can have a look at it.

I've noticed that these .ts files seem to get left behind whenever the channel fails to tune properly in Kodi. Just a thought.

Sub, have you been able to retrieve the file? I don't know how long Filedropper will hold it before deletion.

I've been away the last few days. Just went to grab the file now, but it looks like it's already gone.

Works for me still. "Download Now" button in the middle triggers a captcha with another "Download Now" button under it.

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with that file. I've taken a good close look at it. Was that file definitely created during the failed attempt to watch that channel?

When you've got a channel like this that is failing to watch in Kodi, do repeated attempts to watch that channel result in the same problem (whether just retrying the same channel or switching to another and back)? Does restarting Kodi make any difference to the problem? Can you view the channel without issue in NextPVR itself?

It was definitely created during a failed attempt to watch that channel.

Repeated attempts to watch that channel do result in the same problem (both by retrying that channel, as well as switching to another channel, then back). Restarting Kodi does not make any difference. I AM able to view the channel with no problem in NextPVR.

The only thing that seems to solve the problem is time ... as in, waiting until the next day. Then the channel more often than not, tunes in fine in Kodi.

I will attempt to capture another .ts file, just in case I somehow screwed it up.
