SA/ComSkip Padding Utility

Now that gbpvr has auto skip I have noticed that I miss the second or two of commercials that I like to see for the peace of mind that I saw the end of the show. Ok my wife is the one whom always tells me that we missed something.

I think you can do some padding stuff in comskip but this makes it consistant for comskip and SA.

So I have a little tool that write now only has 3 settings.


beginpadding=30; the amount to add to each begining commercial segment
endpadding=0; the amount to subtract from each ending commercial segment
startLimit=100; if commerical in first X frames, add begining to commercial


Does anyone else find this useful enough to post?
It would run after comskip or SA.

the last setting is for shows that only have a sliver of a show in the begining of the show. It will reset the frame position to 0 in the case where it is less then the specified number.

I have also changed the padding parameter of comskip to accept negative numbers so you can add commercial.

Sounds like exactly what I need. I will test it out and let you know how it works. I record a lot of non-english shows and no matter what I cannot seem to get it tweaked enough as there is less consistency to the commercials and the fade to commercials than in American shows. Right now I have like 10 versions of comskip ini - haha

I havent tested it yet do to the lack of a tuner in my development machine.

It should work. I plan on testing it in the next few days.

How do you run it manually? draging and dropping does not work
