Creating "Duplicates" to Avoid

You are going through a lot of effort to try to populate this history table with additional data.

I don't delete my series. Some series I have a few seasons of but would like to record and save the ones I don't have.

Being able to check a folder for the Series, if exist then check is episode is in there, would be a great help. I've been building my digital media library for 20 years from Digital pvr recording, to analog VHS to digital and DVD conversions.

I will say it isn't important if NPVR has my episode in it's database, just check and see if the episode in it's series folder before recording.

I am strictly OTA and many of the new shows aren't our flavor and we watch older shows daily and have a wide variety.

This is a feature where I would put money "where my mouth is" for development since I don't have to pay for Hulu, Netflix or Cable TV.

If you use the imageGrabLite import feature name the show as showname.s##e##.ts it will rename and create the NextPVR recording entry and you can optionally add the unique ID for use with schedules direct. I do this to back fill shows from my OnDemand channel.

You pretty much need to go to screener.com to get the info ie for the original Get Smart you use this http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tv/get-smart/EP00001826 (with the base unique ID) and then you would need to hover over the episode you want.
