I upgraded to 3.9.2 a few days ago. I'm unable to delete recorded programs. The first few times a message flashed by. Now it just hangs for a few seconds, doesn't delete, and returns to the list of recorded episodes. Logs attached. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I've never heard of an error like this.

Can you try tempoararily disabling your firewall to see if it makes any difference?

I disabled Bitdefender and Windows firewalls and rebooted.
The delete issue persists. I receive a similar error when I attempt to alter the recording schedule. Fresh logs attached. I note that the NextPVR status icon has some little white dashes around it now. I assume that's just a style update. I glanced at the Windows event logs earlier but nothing jumped out at me.

Do you have net-nanny type software? All I can think is that there is some software monitoring/altering/intercepting the network communications between components, and it's managing to break things. Other than that I've got no ideas on this one. The error definitely sounds like something like that.

Not that I can think of. The PC is dedicated to media recording and playback. The tray icon doesn't display device status either. I was able to add a recording via the TV Guide, but I received what appeared to be the same error as before when I tried to cancel it via the TV Guide. I have the TV Listings plugin. Should I try removing that?

It sounds like any communication between the frontend and the recording service is failing, so something is getting in the way of communication. AntiVirus software?

This goes via the database, so doesn't require the direct communication between components. All the other things you describe (like tray icon getting status) requires communication, and sound like this communication is failing.

This looks like a problem

Code:
2016-12-08 10:01:05.512    [INFO][4]    Starting remoting service (on port 8968)
...
2016-12-08 10:01:05.544    [INFO][4]    Starting web server on: 8968

They need to be different ports. Try changing the web service back to 8866 and reboot to clean things up.

That seems to have done it. I don't recall altering the default settings there but I can't rule it out. Thank you both.
