I have only just realised that the 10 minute skip using the UP and Down keys no longer works. Checking older versions it seems to stop working with 2.5.1. Is there an xml setting somewhere to return the function?

Lines 203-213 of config.xml seem to deal with skipping - not sure if it work with the up / down buttons.

Web client is using NextPVR logic now. Unfortunately that means the up/down keys are are not used for skipping and NextPVR doesn't have a long skip. I hacked it a bit and up down are skip in recordings in my web client so if you increased the skip time to 10 minutes and have left/right do short skips you might get something similar to what you are used to.

Skip 10 minutes is something I use occasionally and only just realised that it was working on one client and not the other because one was still using an early X-NEWA alpha.

I have the normal KODI skip for videos set to just +60 and -30 enabled which works well for me and I think was the NextPVR defaults.

I looked at config.xml and found the "Skip" entries but not changed anything. Can you me some clues about your "Hack" please Martin?

However I was a bit concerned at the size of the file much larger than I remember running to 4795 lines of which 4421 are used by "MVPSpecificSettings"!

Well I seem to have got long skip working using NextPVR 3.9.3 and X-NEWA 2.5.1 beta3!

I noticed that SkipFFSeconds and SkipRWSeconds were set to 10. I changed the value of both to 600 and the UP and DOWN keys now skip 10 minutes!

Right like I wrote NextPVR doesn't have a long skip, the hack is I made up/down be the short skip and then as you found you can configure short as long. Personally I don't favour overloading the keys, I'd prefer sub add up/down as long skips (since it is not defined today) and keep FF and RW as short. Some useful keys are being wasted.

I can't universally add a 10 minute jump on up/down, because these keys are already used for other things. You can type "10" then press the skip key to jump 10 minutes in that direction though.

NextPVR logic is based on remotes with number pads with the new remotes that is becoming rare. It is understood it takes some rethinking required, my hack isn't enabled in Live TV or when there is a OSD active. To When the EPG OSD is active right left don't skip so reusing up & down doesn't seem drastic.

In post #4 I reported that my config.xml contained 4795 lines of settings of which 4421 are used by "MVPSpecificSettings" with numerous duplicate MAC addresses and settings related to various WEB clients I have used!

After making a backup I deleted all the settings within "MVPSpecificSettings" reducing the file from over 200k to 18k. After a server reboot and booting a client six lines of settings were added to "MVPSpecificSettings" and in the several days use since then no extra settings have been added to "MVPSpecificSettings"!

This was a bug sub fixed in the last year. It is not perfectly swatted though since all web clients share one setting.
