If you've got a recording that wont play in NextPVR, I'd be happy to take a look at a sample file.

I can def get some few second recordings. I was temped to get some under the 25 meg limit and upload them but wasn't sure if that might be some sort of legal thing you rather not do.
But what about the ones I can't get to record at all? that will sit at 0k, yet will stream fine http in other players?

Let me know how to get you some files and I'll get the ones I can record but not play properly to you.

I suspect this is something with HDHR but again it's odd that playing in media player, which will use the dvd codec if it's the only one installed will play via the http stream fine but playing in NPVR which uses the RTP and same codec runs into these issues. Though unless it's still HDHR doing something funky different.

I love HDHR products but the support seems to be lacking more. I had tickets open ignored for months now asking about the timing issue lol.

I mentioned that my Kodi playback from my HDTC is through Kodi and x-newa web client. The x-newa HDHR mode uses http from the HDTC and Native mode it is rtp from via the NextPVR stream. I don't notice any negative difference. You might want to try

There support does suck though, they don't even respond to posts to get rid of the bogus NextPVR mode that caused me no end of grief a few years ago.

I'd prefer you put them somewhere like dropbox or onedrive, and just let me know the download link.

Thats where you should follow my advice earlier in the thread. ie "When you're attempting to record and it wont record, what exactly happens? If you open the HDHR Config utility while it's attempting one of these failed recordings, does it indicate it's got a good signal lock, and does it indicate it's sending data over rtp?". You might want to try watching the same channel in NextPVR and the HDHomeRun software, and see what the HDHR Config utility says is different regarding the signal lock etc.

The ones that don't record will show signal lock and show it's streaming. Playing by HDHR software works and the config view while doing so is identical between the two (as expected). same signal, channel locks etc.

I'll work on getting some recordings and see if I can find some place to upload them.
