After using the great piece of software called GB PVR, here are my wish list items

1. Allow a plugin to "watch" live tv
2. When watching a show that is recording allow ff/rw move the specified amount based on the config setting.
3. Create a preproccessing.bat file - or something like that. As soon as the show start to record run the batch file. I would like to put comskip in here.
4. If a batch file is run as soon as a program start to record, it would be nice for the system to update itself as the comskip text file is altered. Maybe every commercial break, or ever minute.

Thanks for considering my wishlist items.

1.) Live TV is already included.
2.) You can only RW the amount of show already recorded. You can only FF the amount of show already recorded Big Grin Obviously you can't FF into a portion of the show that hasn't aired yet. Skip control is on the Playback tab in config.
3.) Did you try it? Wink IIRC, PreProcessing.bat will work as soon as a recording is started, thus comskip or SA would run. Not sure if this is a "work in progress" or if Sub implemented it....
4.) You'll have to ask Sub about this. I don't think it's possible.

1) live tv is not included yet. I have that on my wishlist for xguide. Sub is aware of it and hopefully next release.
3) I did not see sub add it. I know you can do it if you use the replacement tray app.

My understanding is the same as Jorms.

2. Next time you are home and a show start to record-- wait about 5 minutes. Watch the show in progress - any method that you like. My FF is set for 10 sec. Hit FF immediately - the show skips 10 sec. Wait 30 seconds or so. Hit FF- the show skips 18 secs.

Am I totally missing something? Live TV. It's there, it works (in most cases). Are you talking about just removing the 500ms delay?

I hadn't noticed my FF doing such strange things. I have it set up for 15 seconds.

3.) That's what I was thinking of, the PVR Powertray app Big Grin

They are talking about trying to start live TV from a plugin such as guide2j now xguide.

Quote:1. Allow a plugin to "watch" live tv
I've added that for the next release.

Quote:2. When watching a show that is recording allow ff/rw move the specified amount based on the config setting.
There are some complications here, and unfortunately I probably wont be able to fix them at the moment.

Quote:3. Create a preproccessing.bat file - or something like that. As soon as the show start to record run the batch file. I would like to put comskip in here.
There is a ParallelProcessing.bat in the next release which is called immediately after starting a recording.

Sorry, I probably wont do this anytime soon.

Lucus you are right for 3. PVR Powertray gets you the postprocessing.bat.
But for 4. - It would be great that an active recording will be updated when comskip definition changes.

Now that football season is upon us I would to use the "live" comskip detection for the four hour game. I would start watching the game about 1.5 hours after it starts. The auto skip feature should catch me up in the 4th quarter.
