Hello all,
I always have my system set up so it goes on standby after 5 minutes of inactivity and this has worked beautifully for me until this last update. Now the system stays on all the time and the GB-PVR screensaver is shown. I have tried a "repair" install and restarting the system several times, but this did not help to solve the problem.
Any suggestions will be greatly apppreciated.

Try disabling the screen saver. It might help.

I'm not sure if this is Xrecord related or another plugin (sorry Sub if it is) but I haven't changed anything except upgrade to .93.1 from the previous released version .92.11.

After many days of not watching t.v., today I discovered that my EPG is not updating. This morning when I went into the TV Guide it was blank starting Aug 19.

The last entry in gbpvr.exe.log is:

8/19/2005 8:55:06 PM.512 ERROR [2] Unable to find node: /settings/SpecialElements/SpecialElement[@name="MenuType"]

And the last entry in config.exe-1.log is:

8/19/2005 8:54:50 PM.569 WARNING [7] Unable to compact database automatically

I manually updated the EPG successfully this morning. Any ideas?

Thanks so much.

Log into http://labs.zap2it.com and check your subscription hasnt expired. This is the normal cause.

Neither of those are a problem.

As suggested by Sub, disabling the screensaver does alloe the system to go into standby. Pity though, I think the screensaver is a really cool feature...

Hi sub,

Nope that doesn't seem to be the problem. I am able to login to labs.zap2it.com. Also I was able to manually update the EPG this morning. I guess I'll watch it for another week.

Sorry to ask again, but did you get a chance to review the log files i sent you in regards to my FM radio problem? I still can't hear anything...it worked before in 92.11.

Should I be worried about those error msgs about not being able to compact the database and the special elements menu?

Thanks Smile

Sorry, no I couldnt spot anything but I've added the following setting in config.xml for the next build:

<ForceFMBufferingMode>true</ForceFMBufferingMode>

If set to "true" it'll use the buffering approach used in the old FM radio screen.

Hi Sub,

With 92.11, I was able to record radio. After the 93.10 upgrade, I can listen to the radio, but it does not record anymore. I added <ForceFMBufferingMode>true</ForceFMBufferingMode> but it didn't help.

Any idea? Thanks.

That setting has been added for *next* build. Not the current one. Try that when it is available.

Thank you for the great work. Look forward to the next release. Will it be released soon?
