Enabling all recordings artwork

I am moving over from being a long-time user of TVListings plugin, but given issues with current version, I need to use the standard TV Guide and Recordings screens. I have seen others showing metadata/artwork, including backdrops, for Recordings. While I see a show thumbnail or poster in the individual program listing when I click on it, should their be that same or similar poster in the right-side column description area in the Recordings screens? Also, I have seen mention of swapping the default backdrop (wallpaper) for a custom show backdrop when viewing episodes etc. I think I have the artwork area of the settings configured to show everything available on these, and use Schedules Direct, and have all the artwork sources selected. Is there something I am missing that would enable the backdrops or other meta artwork?

There is fairly minimal artwork shown in the Recordings screen. Do you have 'show metadata screens in recordings' ticked on the Settings->Artwork screen? This will show more rich info for recordings that have artwork available.

sure do - maybe there is no support for backdrop etc, as that is in Videos? Also, looks like the images are shown on the recording "detail" popups but not the listings screens? There was more "eye candy" for the TVListings plugin replacement, but at least this doesn't crash! Only other thing I notice is a "green bar" to left of recordings on my server machine, which I think indicates "not watched" maybe, that is not reflected on clients? Alibert's implementation showed status fairly clearly - recording in progress, watched, part of recurring, etc

Are you on the 'Ready Recordings' list when you? ie, the 'whats new' and other lists wont take you to metadata screens.

That green bar indicates you've watched the recording (or some of it). Status is shown elsewhere, like 'recording' etc.

I do see the Green watched status on the Ready recordings sub-lists, so all is well...had an unhandled exception error upon viewing some recordings sub-lists, so will need to check, but so far so good feature-wise

It looks like it's unhappy with your image file for some reason. Are you able supply the files for that show from C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Media\Shows?

that's on a client - I have two clients and a server. Are the images used local to each client machine or sourced from the server? I should also point out that this client is running in 4K display mode (2160p)

It depends what type of client.

If it's nlite, or web client, then it uses the server's artwork.

If it's a separate NextPVR client install, then got it's own copy of artwork in that directory.
