Did you actually look in the task manager and see nrecord.exe was the process using the CPU, or was it some other process - like ffmpeg.exe or ndigitalhost.exe etc?[/QUOTE]

|After arriving back to my home network I had to stop the NextPVR recording service and end Nrecored.exe in task manager and that will stop the CPU over utilization. I then copied the |logs that are attached. After that point I manually refreshed the guide in Emby and everything went back to normal. I've included the NextPVR and Emby logs.

Yes this is from the post with both log files. And I was streaming livetv when it happened again.

If you're up for it, I'm happy to connect to your machine (using Remote Desktop or TeamViewer), and take a look at the issue when it's happening.

Yes that would be great. I'm not certain you could log on to my machine while it's happening. It's a little bit of a challenge to get anything to work while it's happening because the CPU is nearly frozen but that sounds like a good idea to me. I can setup teamviewer here. I can usually make it happen at will but only using Emby remotely will it almost always cause this to happen, although once that I can remember it happened while I was in my home network. Possibly if I leave teamviewer on and you log in while I'm testing it remotely, that would probably give the best chance of you seeing it happen live. I'm guessing that if you were not already logged in you might not be able to after it starts. Of course I'm just assuming based on past episodes. Lets try it anyway when is good for you I'm at home this week I'll just need to go somewhere that I can use Emby remotely. I'm available this week from about 8am EST to 5pm EST.

Hello Sub,

I just opened emby and it happening right now. Nrecored is at about 99% right now. I'm currently trying to get teamviewer installed, it's working slowly. I'll leave it in this state for a few minutes but because of the time difference I'll post logs in a few minutes if you are not available now. By the way this incident started about the same time as this post.

Here are the logs. I could not get teamviewer to install when the pc is like that. Not sure if you would even be able to log on my pc at those moments. I don't believe I did anything at all, was just browsing the guide when I noticed I did not have the options available normally, that means the guide needs updating. The update process was running, which is probably why the record options weren't showing. At that same time Emby had an update and pressed the update button and nothing happened. For some reason that locked the CPU with nrecord.

I know you are trying to talk to sub but that shows the same spam from Emby I talked about here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post510984 That has to be an Emby problem.

Thanks Martin,

Anyone with an opinion is fine, thanks. I'm sure it's an Emby problem from my interactions here. What I think is happening at Emby is they just see that nrecord is causing the problem and they say to post the issue here and possibly they are not aware of the issues from Emby you are seeing on the NextPVR logs. I really like the media center I have now, all of the different apps. Emby to me is mostly a remote tool and it works very well it's just the livetv streaming with Emby that will cause a problem. I'm not sure what happened today, I've only seen that happen once before. Normally it is only streaming livetv that causes the problem. I did some checking with the task manager and livetv with nextpvr/kodi or emby does not use nrecored.exe at all. So it's a very strange issue that causes that process to max the CPU since it is not used at all with livetv. I would like, if possible, if someone here can show the Emby people what is happening on the NextPVR logs that maybe the are not aware of, that looks like the only way to have them check out this problem.

In the Nov. logs I did post I saw it twice.

Actually LiveTV does use the recording service but it is a light call CPU wise.

You have to post your Emby logs on their fourm I will highlight the spam.
