Intel NUC not showing video or audio

Ok so I had an intel nuc working and in my youtube channel..

anyway the drive died and a guy at work gave me a nuc..

well it has a faster cpu (i5 vs my i3) so I built it but cant get any video or audio.
I installed codec packs, etc...

I'm just clueless where to start. at least if I had audio but no video or visa versa I know its a codec.. I just get neither...

If you play an existing .ts file (since it has a much narrower scope of what can go wrong), do you get audio or video? Check this before worrying about whether live tv works.

In the 'ffdshow Video Decoder' settings (accessed via that "..." button), is MPEG2 enabled? It's disabled by default in the ffdshow decoder, and needs to be explicitly enabled.

so I have set it up before...

this nuc has an intel HD4000

while googling I got onto an intel site that said right click speaker and choose playback devices.. make sure hdmi device is listed. I don't have that.. but if I go play an avi I have locally I have video and audio... grrrrrrr

fyi I'm not getting the mpg2 not setup... I'm getting a black screen with no audio or video... weird... tomorrow ill throw my drive in my other NUC and see if I can get it to work...

Did you try playing a file as I suggested, or are you trying live tv?

Try playing a .ts file, then post the logs and I'll take a look.

.ts file played as requested.. these were recorded on another machine running nextpvr.. my box called dvr.. hah...

As requested above, try playing a .ts file in NextPVR, then zip and post the log files.

I just noticed my machine doesn't have all 3 choices for hdhomerun... weird... so on left is local NUC.. on right is teamviewer remote screen of machine that works... Ive gotta start there.. wonder if that's it..
