Playing the same file in another player gives audio?

yes... if I open with media player it plays video & audio...

open with nextpvr I get video

It looks like that file might have two audio tracks. If you right click during playback, and try selecting the two different audio tracks, do either give audio?

that's above my knowledge grade level... 2 audio tracks.. right click during playback and select different tracks.. lmc..

I deleted all logs.. stopped service and got log directory cleared..started service then played file for new clean logs...

nope... I clicked English then disabled for the heck of it.. no go..
well I'm don't for tonight. I have access to my old nuc (bad drive) gonna throw this drive in it and see if I can get it working. had that working originally before drive died.. wonder if there is a hardware difference.. I don't know.. but hitting the sack.. gotta be up @5am for a 65 mile commute to work...

ok I got the other nuc together and am at home for a moment then out to MMA for the kids.. both black belts..

anyway.. something weird. I went into Media Player Codec Pack - right click and open Codec Settings (as admin) and I set a setting.. go back in and it didn't stay. not sure if it is supposed to or not... but I changed audio and now I have audio and video from playing the .ts file...

so "playing" .ts recorded files via NextPVR works now... playback of video does not...

What do you mean "playback of video"? Do you mean live tv, or playback of other types of files (like .mkv / .mp4 etc)?

NextPVR records .ts file, and it sounds like these are playing back correctly for you now, so you're most of the way there.

I weird.. I was then able to play a .ts file.. audio and video..
go to do live tv and still nothing.


I know this sounds weird but when I first got into using NextPVR and the HDHomerun Prime, I rebuilt my computer a few times (don't worry it was a VM HAH)...

I found out that for some reason certain codecs when installed, didn't uninstall correctly. Thus this time I downloaded the codec pack via a quick google and found a newer version media.player.codec.pack.v4.4.3.setup.exe
I forgot that I have gone down this path a while ago. It for some reason was one of the packs that created issues for me. Doesn't uninstall correctly. That NUC had that on it so I decided to do the Win10.. get rid of everything and restore... well this time I went and DL media.player.codec.pack.v4.4.0.setup.exe and guess what... EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT!!!!

yeah and it is in the bedroom.. just manually edited every channel to a nicer name...
showed wife and she said ok show me... write it down... so we will see...
