freesat epg missing some channels.

iv recently started using nextpvr to watch and record uk freesat through kodi, and credit due it works great, however there are a few out of the 120 or so channels that get no data for the epg, they are all set to use 'freesat' in the channel section and the vast majority work great. But it would be even better if the whole epg was full.

so is there a way to figure out why the epg is blank for those channels and get that working.

or as a work around i have found: http://www.xmltv.co.uk that has a xmltv file that can be downloaded, and use that to fill in the blanks, could i make nextpvr automatically download the xmltv file and use that for the missing channels epg?

Click the Update EPG button in NextPVR and then zip and attach the logs to a post. There is a button in NextPVR Settings --> About that will zip the logs for you. Tell us the time that you did the Update EPG and the names of some channels that have no EPG so that we know where to look in the logs.

So i emptied the epg, stopped and restarted the nextpvr service then did a epg update at 7:13pm today 07/03/17.

I'm not in that part of the world, so not that familar with Freesat, but those channels you've listed actually "Freesat" channels? I can't see them on the Freesat channel list I looked at. If they're not Freesat channels, then it's not appropriate to choose the Freesat EPG source for them. ie if they're just some other random channels on the same satellite you'll probably need to use the DVB EPG or XMLTV options for getting listings for these channels.

I think you'll find the missing channels don't provide EPG data on Freesat but only on the Sky EPG (which NPVR doesn't cater for). I've been meaning to do a capture of the Sky EPG for some time so Sub could take a look to see if it could be decoded but been a bit too busy to do the grab and I get a lot of agro from the wife if I start "playing" with the media centre [which is in almost constant use]:-).
