Recently lost my Windows 8.1 build running WMC with a Ceton PCIe 4 channel tunner. I had a build of NextPVR running on that O/S So I decided to do a hardware refresh of my HTPC. Trying to get WMC running with my tuner card on Windows 10 is a chore. To ensure that there was nothing wrong with the tuner card or the driver I was using, I Installed NextPVR on this new build. After some work got everything working as good as it did in the Windows 8.1 build save for one small item. The channel menu flickers in the left corner when it is displayed. Not a big deal but I thought it kinda odd and from searching around I haven't seen anyone else have this issue. I included a short video of what it looks like along with the log files. Thanks in advance for the help.

That's odd. I've not seen anything like that before.

What video chipset is in your machine?

If you try switching to the Video Renderer to VMR9, does it make any difference?

Using Intel's HD Graphics 630 on a i5 7500T (Kaby Lake) processor. Switching the video render to VMR9 seems to have fixed it. Anything else you would like me to check?

Not really sure what to suggest on that one. Hopefully you'll find next graphic driver update fixes it.

I would say update your video card drivers to one from card manufacturer (or remove drivers and try different version if you are on the latest)

I'm sure the video drivers are not up to date, since I threw together the O/S as a proof of concept to make sure that the older tuner card would work in a newer O/S and chipset layout. Windows 10 is not even activated. I'll update the drivers prior to the final rebuild of the O/S. And update this thread with my findings. Anything wrong with leaving the video render in VMR9 if a driver swap doesn't work?

It'll be fine leaving it on VMR.

EVR has some advantages relating to hardware acceleration, and timing, but you wont notice too much difference between them.

I've seen this too on a recent Intel setup (away from home so can't check what it is). It used to be terrible, but I had so many other problems with that setup that I reverted to an old ati card. It seems fine now though, other than the playing video going slightly jerky when the OSD is active (jerky as in looking like 50fps content playing at 60hz). It's subtle though, and not really a major issue, at least compared to the left-corner flicker that was awful.

Changed the Driver to 15.45.16.4627 released March 23, 2017. No change in flickering. Going finalize the build on my O/S. Let me know if you want me to beta test something for this issue in the future. Thanks for the help.
