Program scheduling

Scheduling a program for recording and not seeing that program turn red in the grid always sends a chill. It is usually because that particular episode has already been recorded and deleted and duplicate rules prevail. Launching NextPVR with the -removehistory parameter usually fixes the problem: The program will turn red upon scheduling.

Can NextPVR be adjusted so that it "knows" that a program is being scheduled from the grid, not an EPG update, and ignore/remove that episode's history?

Was it a one-off recording, or a season-recording?

It's a season recording. The schedule originally called for only new episodes. Since the program I wanted was not a new one, I tried to schedule it from the grid but couldn't. I then deleted the schedule and entered a new one specifying all episodes. That didn't work either. That's when I removed history and invoked the -recurring command. Then it turned red.

I hope I explained this clearly.
