Another Need Kodi help thread, NextPVR addon couldn’t be loaded

Hello everyone and sorry for being a newb!
I’ve been working on this for 2 hrs and need help. I’m running a win 10 64bit quad5 2.9 ghz with the Hauppauge quad tuner. WinTv 8.5 and NextPVR work excellent, detecting roughly 25 channels. I’m new to Kodi 17.5 and have followed many guides but when I try to enable the NextPVR client 2.4.13 I continually get the error addon couldn’t be loaded, an unknown error has occurred. Just for kicks I enabled the njoy n7 pvr client and didn’t get the message. I don’t know where to start. Could this be a 64 bit problem or Norton antivirus conflict?

I get the same message from my Mygica 1900 pro. I set NextPVR in an almost identical fashion. This is a an Android (Lollipop) with Kodi 17.5 installed.
I suspect that the NextPVR client addon will need to be updated. It worked on 17.2 or earlier, unless I am mistaken.

I have exactly the same issue.
Windows 10, x64
NextPVR been working fine (& still does).
Kodi installed without any concerns & all other (non-TV) features work perfectly.
When trying to activate NextPVR add-on, the result is:
"Add-on couldn't be loaded.
An unknown error has occurred".

Hey Sub, i have the same problem reported here. Tried your link, but the browser says can't connect:

127.0.0.1 refused to connect.

(Using Chrome on Win 64Bit Pro)

Fresh install of NextPVR (alongside GBPVR) and Kodi on a tablet. I am still running GBPVR and decided to give the new stuff a whirl.
The NPVR web server comes up no problem but Kodi throws an error about loading the NextPVR client.

If the web server is running, but Kodi isn't connecting - check you've got the right server IP address entered in the Kodi NextPVR addon settings. Also make sure you don't have firewall software blocking incoming requests. If you're sure all that is correct, you'll probably need to post the kodi.log, with debug logging enabled, so we can see what Kodi is doing.

Thanks Sub, entering the server ip seems to have fixed it. No more error in Kodi saying the add on failed to load. I appreciate your help.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem.
When I use my browser it is finding the server and working fine. But Kodi not so.
Can someone tell me EXACTLY what should be typed into the addon re the server? I've tried just the ip address 127.0.0.1.
I get a 'failed to load' and sometimes I see 'PVR manager loading channels' which stays at 0% and just whirls around.
All very frustrating.
