I've just downloaded UK EPG data on a new NextPVR install. The data seemed to download OK, but I get no data for any of the HD channels. Is there any way of using the EPG data from the equivalent non-HD channels (e.g. use BBC 1 London EPG data for BBC1 HD), so that I can schedule HD recordings from the NextPVR interface?

I'm running NextPVR 4_0_4_171121 on Windows 10. My capture card is a Blackgold BGT3620.

Also, is XMLTV GUI working for anyone in the UK? My grabs fail from all 3 of the available sources.

Have you considered using Schedules Direct? - you can get a trial for a couple of months. The quality of the data is top notch and you just "set it and forget it".

I use NextPVR as a backup for my Humax (e.g. when I need to record >2 things at once), so I don't want to get into a monthly sub

XMLTV GUI is obsolete now that the Radio Times data is no longer available ... I never tried any of the other sources in XMLTV GUI and it may be that they are also obsolete.

Some of the .ini files that NextPVR uses to identify channels/muxes/frequencies are out of date. The correct values are at ukfree.tv. NextPVR .ini files are usually at Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning ... alternatively, you can try selecting All Frequencies when scanning

Why not just use the OTA epg data then - that gives 7 days epg for HD and SD Channels on UK terrestrial TV (in Settings / Channels / Details set epg source to DVB / ATSC for every Channel)
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

It's the OTA EPG that I've been using. It gives me EPG data for all channels APART FROM the HD channels.

I've tried selecting "All Regions-Frequencies" when scanning but it still doesn't get me EPG data for the HD channels.

This is what my DVB-T ini file looks like. Does this look right? I've looked at ukfree.tv but can't see anything there that would help me to validate the data below.

I have misled you ... apologies. The All Regions .ini file is okay ... some of the .ini files for specific transmitters are a bit old. You will be finding everything if you are scanning "All Regions".

In NextPVR Settings --> Channels ... Press the Update EPG button and when the update has finished ... Zip the NextPVR logs and attach to a post. Thanks.

OK here are the logs immediately after an EPG update...

Have you actually got the HD channels mapped properly in your device config?

The logs show the EPG data as channel Unknown:-
