Another Need Kodi help thread, NextPVR addon couldn’t be loaded

Hi,
I'm having the same problem.
When I use my browser it is finding the server and working fine. But Kodi not so.
Can someone tell me EXACTLY what should be typed into the addon re the server? I've tried just the ip address 127.0.0.1.
I get a 'failed to load' and sometimes I see 'PVR manager loading channels' which stays at 0% and just whirls around.
All very frustrating.

In the Kodi NPVR client, you need to enter the IP address of your NPVR server, not 127.0.0.1.

No, it is not broken. There is stacks of people using it just fine.

Do you have NextPVR and Kodi installed on the same machine?

The usual reasons we'll get a Kodi user saying it's not working is because:
1) they haven't realized they need to install NextPVR and get it working before they try enabling the NextPVR addon in Kodi.
2) they've got Kodi installed on a device and a NextPVR installed on another machine, and they haven't remembered to set the IP address of the NextPVR server in the Kodi NextPVR addon settings.

If you're sure you've got those sorted, but it's still not working. Check you can view the NextPVR webapp. If that is working, but still no NextPVR in Kodi, then zip and attach both your NextPVR logs, and the kodi.log (with debug logging enabled).

You need to point your NPVR Kodi client to your NPVR Server. From the Kodi Log:

Unless your Kodi client and your NPVR server are on the same machine, this will not work. You need to go into the NextPVR Kodi client as follows:

1. Navigate to the Add-Ons section
   
2. Select My Addons
   
3. Select PVR Clients
   
4. Select NextPVR Client
   
5. Select Configure
   
6. On the Connection Dialog, set the NextPVR Host name to either the IP (recommended) or the name of your NextPVR Server.
   
7. Select OK
   

Restart Kodi and you should make a connection to your server. If not, repost your logs.

I used ipconfig but didn't see anything that specified nextpvr. I therefore used the IP of IPv4. I don't know if this is correct?

Before trying to configure Kodi are you able to record and watch live tv in NextPVR? To get the logs for uploading start NextPVR then Right Cllck -> Settings-> Zip my....

Agree with Martin, it seems maybe NPVR service is not running or you have a firewall problem. The kodi log seems to indicate a timeout

We need to see the NPVR logs to be sure.

Try:
1 Shut down Kodi
2 Restart NPVR service on your server
3 Start NPVR GUI
4 View a show (i.e. watch live TV) in NPVR
5 If you cannot view a show, NPVR issue, zip and post NPVR logs, stop.
6 Start Kodi
7 If kodi comes up clean, try the Kodi NPVR plugin
8 If there is still an issue, zip and post NPVR logs and Kodi logs
