NicolasK Wrote:I got variable length recordings from last night with the longuest one being about 2 min. File size is according to recorded duration. It plays in external player correctly but I cannot move forward or backwards it freezes the video and sound and I have to close the application and restart it to play again. When I move the video progress slider, I do not get a stop button - only pause remains available but has no effect when pressed. Moving slider further has not effect from that point. Similar results in the W10 Movies and TV app and in WMP.
It's not very easy to follow this. I'm not interested in how skipping or dragging the progress slider is working for you at this stage - lets just focus on determining if recording works or not. If you try to record for 30 minutes, let it complete, then try playing the file in another player like VLC, does it play for 30 minutes? If not, how big is the file?

Here you go ! I've set it to record all episodes and this is the results :

119 MB for about 2 minutes - the recordings should be 12 mins according to EPG. For example, the recording stamp says 00:59 - 01:12

Anything else I can provide to help with support ? I will speak with the provider today and see if he supports recording at all. Can the EPG be at fault ?

I did not see anything relavant in the logs but perhaps you did ?

According to the logs, that last recording of Super Wings was supposed to start at 11:09, and finish at 11:12, and that's what it did, which would mean a recording just a little less than 3 minutes. Was that what you got?

There are actually two recordings there

Code:
2018-01-19 10:59:04.281    [DEBUG][9]    Started recording (889:9:C:\Users\Public\Videos\Super Wings, ... _20180119_11001110.ts)
2018-01-19 11:09:03.455    [DEBUG][9]    Started recording (890:10:C:\Users\Public\Videos\Super Wings ,.. _20180119_11101125.ts)

I was thinking that the padding was causing a problem if his provider doesn't support multiple feeds..

Oh do you mean that one recording starts and another one starts shortly after ? No the provider does not allow that indeed. If I attempt to start another feed from another device for example it will stop the first one.

The Super Wings episodes last 12 minutes as per EPG. This can be at least one part of the problem because they are back to back, two in a row. However it would dmean that I'd get one out of two fully recorded but that it not the case.

Is there a way to increase the logging level to get more detailed information ?

I got one failed and one of 11 seconds from last night. The provider mentioned dvbLink working with their service but not necessarily for that channel. I will try another channel and see what happens. Is there a way to get more info in the logs ?
