From this article: http://www.a516digital.com/2018/01/panas...eview.html

"There have recently been a number of changes to the Freeview signal, although which specific one has upset Panasonic receivers has not been disclosed. Before Christmas, the BBC confirmed the addition of a new HbbTV application broadcast alongside all BBC Freeview channels, following amendments to the BBC's playout and transmission infrastructure, although the BBC says it has tested hundreds of devices to ensure they are compliant with Freeview broadcast standards. HbbTV is due to replace the current MHEG-based system of red button services and information slates (e.g. off-air messages) on Freeview in the coming years."

For the last couple of months there has been a lot more picture breakup, which I had put down to winter weather conditions, but strangely were more on PSB1 mux and PSB3 (DVBT2) mux which usually have strong signals. There is also breakup on the other DVBT2 channels COM7 and COM8 - which are lower powered. All of these muxes now have BBC channels on them.

Sub - Do you think these changes could be causing interruptions to the signal, and if so is there anything you can do?

In addition from the same source:
"24-25 Jan 2018: COM7 and COM8: Overnight Guard Interval change from 1/128 to 1/16 to facilitate the multiplexes running a Single Frequency Network (SFN), following forthcoming frequency changes."

Possibly more problems on the way?

If required I can upload samples - what would you need?
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

It's unlikely any changes to MHEG or HbbTV will cause any issues for NextPVR, which just ignores this information in the stream.

It is possible that changes to the Guard Interval, or SFN or new nearby transmitters, might be causing reception issues for your tuner. It might be worth checking in WinTV (or other app) to see if you're getting the same problems there.
