When in PVR UI mode I can control the timeout for all OSD items except for the OSD bar with playback controls. I guess that it is the DVD OSD bar, but it might not be.

Is there any way that this bar with playback controls can be hidden when NextPVR is in PVR UI mode? Or if not, is there some way to reduce its timeout (currently estimated at 4000 ms) to the same values that I have set (1000 ms) for the other OSD items?

If I needed this bar with playback controls for playing back recordings then I guess reducing the timeout value would be preferable to hiding it altogether.

There only settings that control how long the OSD graphics show are the <OSDTimeoutStatus>, <OSDTimeoutTimeline> and <OSDTimeoutInfo> settings in config.xml. These same settings apply to DVDs, as well as live TV and video playback.

Thanks for the response. Yes I have set those three items to 1000 ms but the bar with playback controls still remains on the screen for about 4000 ms.

Ok - I've added a <OSDMouseControls> setting for the next release.

No, I hadn't spotted that, but unchecking it certainly hides that bar with playback controls. I would still prefer having a <OSDMouseControls> setting in the config file if that is possible.

I've added that for the next release.
