NextPVR Addon Crashes Kodi When Loading Channels From Client

Hi,

I am running Kodi 17.6 on windows 10, NextPVR V.4.0.5 on the same machine.

I came across this post when I was googling the same exact problem. I have been using IPTV simple client in Kodimfor some time and it works ok..the only problem is that there is no time shift and recording. I started researching some of the backends which will enable such features and I found NextPVR. As a standalone, NextPVR works just fine. But I d like to integrate it with Kodi, so I thought Id try the NextPVR add-on which will work as a front end.


The problem then arised, as soon as I enable the NextPVR add-on, I get :

"PVR Manager is Starting Up 0%"
"Loading Channels From Clients"

Then Kodi would crash few sec after.



I tried all I could all the way up to complete deleting Kodi and reinstalling from scrtach a fresh copy with new user folder. Same problem.

I can access the web interface from 192.168.0.10:8866 without a problem.

I read on a similar post that number of channels might be the problem since I have about 2000 channels, , so I deleted about 1500 channels and only left 500. Again, same exact problem. Kodi starts, the PVR client try to load channels from client, 1 or 2 sec later, Kodi crashes.

The only way to get back into Kodi is to terminate the Nrecord.exe process form the task manager then load Kodi again and disable the NextPVR addon.



I would really love to get this to work, so any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately the same exact problem still persists. The only difference is that now the web server is inaccessible from the web browser. I tried putting back the original Nshared.dll file, but I still cant gain web access. :confused:

N.B. I restarted the PC after putting the new dll, and after putting back the old dll, also tried disabling then enabling the web server in settings

Update: Completely removed NPVr and all settings from c:/users/public and reinstalled it..I still cant get the web server to work..now I am lost!

That's odd. I assume you were you using the current release before installing that patch? ie, it wont work on a much earlier release.

Otherwise, post the logs and I'll check why the web server isn't starting.

I am using the latest NPVR release. The webserver was working fine until I applied the patch. It stopped working, even thou I deleted everything and made a new fresh install. here are my zip files

ok surprisingly now I just tried to load the web server from my network connected and it worked. typing 192.168.0.10:8866 in my safari web browser loaded the NPVR web interface (this wasn't working last nite btw when I posted). I also tried using IE on the same machine the server is on and it also worked (had to type http://192.168.0.10:8866). I still cant log into it from microsoft edge on the same machine the server is running on. I am sure I was able to do so before at one point.

Anyways, the original problem still persist..Kodi crashes when the addon is loading channels form client, while the server us up and running, and the new dll in place. Sad

Ok, if the web app is working for you, then it should be ready to take requests from Kodi.

You'll need to post a kodi.log, with debug logging enabled, so we can see it attempt to connect. It'd also be worth zipping up the NextPVR logs at the same time, so we can see the web.log etc, from when Kodi tries to talk to it.

Can yo see my today's reply saying that the server is working? I cant see it from here. I got a message when posting saying that my reply will be reviewed by and administrator before posting..why is that? I will work on these log files and send them to you asap.

FYI, I still cant connect to the server from Microsoft edge. Only thru IE and Safari.
