That kodi.log makes it look like you don't have that updated NShared.dll on your machine. I can see it requesting the OnDemand channels.

If you open this URL in Safari, and scroll down the list, you should only see TV channels listed, not on-demand TV shows like "Rick And Morty" or "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta" etc.

Stop the recording service, then put it in c:\program files (x86)\npvr, then restart the service.

That seems to have solved the problem..Ic an now load the channels in Kodi and control the server from the add-on...Great!! Apparently I was putting the dll in the wrong path

Thank yo very much.

But I have a couple more issue now:

1)When I first load Kodi and I get the loading Chanels form client, it gets stuck at 0% for a good 1.5mins, then it loads the channels in less than a sec. Then it takes about another 2.5min to load the guide from client. The percentage here its not stuck like the channels, rather its moving, but very slowly. Like I said it takes about 2.5 min to load, for a total of 4min to load everything. Is this normal? Is there anyway I can speed this up? when I used the same m3u file in iptv simple client this process was pretty quick, less than 10-15 sec each reboot.

2) Also during those 4min, if I try to exit Kodi, it tops responding and crashes.

3)The other issue I am having, is that the channel logos are not loaded at all in the add-on. When I checked in NPVR, some channels have logos, some dont. But in Kodi plugin, non is showing. In IPTV simple client, ALL channels had logos. Whats happening on this on?

Thanks again

Update: Trying on a fresh Kodi installation, the channel load time is 20sec (again its stuck at 0% for 19 sec and 1 sec to load channels) and the EPG loading takes 1min 40 sec (again very slowly loading) for a total of 2mins. is this normal?

Yeah, unfortunately Kodi is a bit slow loading some of this stuff. Nothing I can do about it.

Ok if thats the norm fine..I just wanted to make sure that I dont have an issue which is causing that. A bit annoying but what to do. What I dont get is why does it Kodi load the guide from a remote path 100 times faster than when it loads if from a local server.

Also I asked about the channel logos, anything I can do to get them to show in the add-on?

Thanks you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.

The PVR API interface is a bit inefficient when it comes to loading channels and listings. Also, I don't think the IPTV Simple client loads the listings, which is what takes the bulk of the time.

I'm not using Kodi here, so I don't have to worry about it myself. I'm just using NextPVR - much faster.

Sorry, I don't know on this one. I've seen several people asking about icon problems in recent Kodi release, for various PVR addons. I think they've broken the automatic stuff at some stage.

What do you mean by listings? the EPG? The simple client loads that offcourse.

It might be faster to start indeed, but the interface in Kodi is much more intuitive. ALso the channel name column in EPG is too small I cant read the channel name (esp that my provider has a group name leading the channel name)

Is there a image file of the same name as your channel (but with .png/.jpg file extension) in the C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Media\Channels directory? If there is, but they're not showing, zip up some example files, and I'll try them here with your database.
