NextPVR very slow when db contains zillions of recordings

Sloppy housekeeping on my part may not be a crisis for anyone else.

My failure to delete the recordings that I never got around to watching means that I now have about 3,000 recordings in the database (... I have started to get rid of them, honest).

NextPVR takes about 30 seconds to display the TV Guide and about the same to switch between views in Recordings. This is not an issue for me because I use TV Listings (for the scrollable programme description) and TV Listings/TV Recordings displays everything without delay.

I see this in the npvr.log ...

There is, for example, a lengthy interval at 16:48:21.

The attached logs show an identical events first displaying the Guide and then displaying each of the views in Recordings.

It might be that this doesn't qualify as something that needs fixing ... and that is fine by me.

If you set both <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> and <CheckForRenamedRecordings> to 'false' in config.xml, does it make a difference?

If a recording is missing, it'll look the same file with a different extension. Like .mp4/.mkv/.avi/.mpg instead of .ts, so that the recording will still be found if you've transcoded it to some ofther format

Autoremove was already false ... Changed checkforrenamed to false and both guide and recordings displays give an instant response. Thanks.
