Kodi & NextPVR

Hello all.

I have recently downloaded Kodi 18 and installed NextPVR on the same machine. They both work alone but when I try to install the add on in Kodi for NextPVR - it doesnt work. I have followed the instructions on both and still not working.
I have tried to install Kodi 17.6 (and delete Kodi 18) - no success.
I have a VPN too - which I disabled but with no success.
I reinstalled NextPVR and no success.
I have attached the log files in case anything can be spotted there.
I love Kodi and I love the look of NextPVR and cant understand what I am doing wrong.
I have set the Kodi address for NextPVR as 127.0.0.1 but when I try and lookup this address with the passcode 8866 in the browser, it comes up with the connection error?

Can you try deleting the "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\ Temporary ASP.NET Files" directory, then rerun the installer?

Hi, which folder are you recommending I delete? the whole Temporary ASP.Net Files folder? Then I should uninstall NextPVR and reinstall? Is that what you mean?

Try disabling your internet security program I remember a vse user solved that error

Yes, the "Temporary ASP.NET Files" folder (and anything it contains).

Then I should uninstall NextPVR and reinstall? Is that what you mean?

Just rerun the installer - don't both uninstalling.

As Martin said above though - might be worth temporarily disabling your virus scanner and restarting the recording service to see if it makes a difference. A couple of past users have got your error because of their crappy antivirus software getting in the way.

I have only got Windows defender installed. I disabled it and still hasnt worked. How do you restart the recording service? i only deleted my recordings.
Should i reinstall Kodi?

How do you restart the recording service?

The installer creates to shortcuts 'Stop NPVR Service' and 'Start NPVR Service'. Use both of those to restart it.

Also try that other suggestion about deleting the directory and rerunning the installer.

I've not heard of Windows Defender causing any issues, so probably not that.

OK. I have done the Stop NPVR Service and Start NPVR Service. I have deleted the directory too. How do I rerun the installer without uninstalling and reinstalling? Thanks!

Just download and run the installer again - just like when you originally installed.
