Program hangs when I try to delete recordings

I live in a fringe area where often recordings have problems and will not playback. When that happens NextPVR stops responding or hangs when I attempt to delete the offending recording. If I attempt to delete the recording manually outside the program I get a message stating that the video cannot be deleted as it is in use by another program. I have stopped NextPVR and NextPVR recording service, but continue to get the same message when I attempt to delete the misbehaving recording. To delete the recordings I have to restart my PC. In the older builds of NextPVR this was not a problem.

I will start playing a video recording. I will get a blank screen. I will attempt to exit the recording, but I will not be able to exit. Sometimes the video will start to play then hang and I will not be able to exit the recording. I will not be able to exit program. Other times I will be able to exit problem recording. But will not be able to delete recording after exit. I will have to reboot PC to delete recording. I do not have the problem playing back the same recordings with Hauppage WinTV or other video playback programs though the videos are pixelated or otherwise visually corrupt.

I am running NextPVR on 2 different PC's. Both PC's are similar Intel dual core processors with plenty of ram, one has a video card and SSD, the other no video card and HDD. I have experienced the same problem with both PC's.

Hmm, that definitely doesn't sound right.

Can you download Microsoft ProcessExplorer to check which process is using the file? You can find instructions and download link in this article:

I may have solved the problem. I was using the K-Lite filters. I downloaded and installed the ffdshow filters in NextPVR. The video is no longer stalling and I am able to delete the offending videos.
