epg won't update

I updated my iptv channel list and wanted to up date the guide so I emptied epg then tried updating but it remains empty. I also use an HDHR prime for cable and my schedules direct isn't updating. when I click update epg I get a quick flash on screen of the updating message not the normal one that takes a minute or so.

In your logs, it looks like the vaders xmltv url was return some garbage at the time you were trying to update it, and it was causing an error that stopped the rest of EPG update from progressing.

I just tried the vaders http://vaders.tv/p2.xml.gz url just now, and it seems to be working, so I'd say give it another try.

Just tried it again, no luck. I'll let it go over night and see what happens.

If you enter that URL in your browser, does the file download?

Could you maybe have firewall or antivirus software that could be getting in the way of NextPVR downloading the content?

The file downloads in my browser. I just use the W10 firewall and antivirus.

No joy over night, no epg from schedules direct or my iptv service. I tried disabling the windows firewall and the epg didn't work.

Can you hit the 'update epg' button, let it complete, then zip and attach the logs.

I'm not sure why this is failing for you, but working fine for me.

I might have to add some logging, so we can capture what is actually coming from the url on your machine.
